Healing and learning can happen side by side.

The Monterey Mini Cow Company Foundation exists to create meaningful connections between people, animals, and agriculture through therapeutic experiences, hands-on education, and community outreach.

At the heart of our mission is serving children with special needs and families who benefit from safe, sensory-rich environments where healing, confidence, and emotional connection can grow through interaction with animals.

Who we serve

Children who need a softer door into the world. Families who need a quiet afternoon. Communities who deserve ag education without a price barrier.

Children with special needs

Sensory-friendly visits. No pressure. Animals patient enough to wait while courage grows.

Adults with disabilities

Real connection through animal care — including partnerships like Gateway Center of Monterey.

Veterans & first responders

Quiet ranch time. No performance required.

Schools & youth

Field trips and FFA/4-H pathways in a region where ag education too often disappeared.

Seniors

Mobile visits that bring surprise and conversation into living communities.

Families & community

Inclusive ranch days where accessibility is the default, not an afterthought.

Mission in action

Gateway Center of Monterey — and a day the news cameras came.

Staff and adults from Gateway Center gathered with our miniature Highlands for a therapeutic visit in Pacific Grove. KSBW Action News 8 covered the day. This is not a brochure claim — it is the work: calm animals, inclusive spaces, and dignity.

Three ways to walk with us

Time, talent, and when you're ready — treasure.

Accessible by design

Wheelchair-visible. Sensory-aware. Ranch-real.

Our miniature Highlands stand roughly eye-level with a child in a wheelchair. Visits can move slower. Quiet hours matter. We plan for access first — then welcome everyone else into that same care.

We believe healing and learning can happen side by side — sometimes in a classroom, and sometimes in a barn beside an animal that changes someone's life forever.
